Perhaps an overused metaphor, but don’t forget the 1.2 TRILLION tons of melting global ice annually (C3S), where each and every pound of melting ice is absorbing 144 BTUs of anthropic generated heat energy, as we continue to burn 8 B tons of coal annually and 100 M barrels of oil DAILY. Oh, yah, and we 8.2 B humans are generating 11,000 BTUs at rest daily. Hey, Eliot, you’re the math whiz, so how many BTUs total is that? What could go wrong? Everything.
